Toka Achumi scores twice as TYO beat Nurturing Youngsters FC 2-1 to advance to the Super League semi-finals

KOHIMA — Toka Achumi's brace helped Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) secure a place in the semi-finals of the 1st Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League 2026 with a 2-1 win over Nurturing Youngsters FC at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, on Friday.
The encounter was the final league match for both teams, with TYO needing a positive result to advance to the knockout stage.
Nurturing Youngsters FC captain Menguzelie Rutsa opened the scoring in the 20th minute, but Toka restored parity for TYO in the 34th minute before completing his brace in the 72nd minute to seal the victory.
The result brought TYO's league campaign to a close with four points from four matches, comprising one win, one draw and two defeats. The victory proved crucial as TYO progressed to the last four.

For Nurturing Youngsters FC, the defeat ended their league campaign. They finished without a point from four matches, having suffered four defeats.
Ruokuovolie Rutsa, Councillor of Ward-3, graced the ninth match as the Match Patron.
Kezevituo Vizo officiated as referee, with Mhasikhonuo Paünuo and Medochülie Chütso serving as assistant referees. Michael Dul was the fourth official, while Medozevi Punyü was the match commissioner.
The final league match between Mez and Co and Sechü-Zubza FC on Saturday will decide the top spot. Both teams currently have nine points each.
The match will kick off at 3 pm on August 22.
