In the Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League, ten-man Sechü Zubza FC secure a dominant 3-0 victory against Vanguard Academy FC in Kohima.

KOHIMA — Sechü Zubza FC defeated Vanguard Academy FC 3-0 in match number eight of the first Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League at the IG Stadium in Kohima on Thursday, despite playing a man down for most of the match.
Sechü Zubza FC were reduced to 10 men in the 22nd minute after goalkeeper Metsilhouzo Rino was shown a red card outside the penalty area for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity (DOGSO).
The dismissal forced Sechü Zubza to make a substitution, with Aneizo M Suokhrie making way for Megolhoukho Zhünyü, who took over goalkeeping duties.
Despite the disadvantage of playing with one less player, Sechü Zubza FC continued to dominate and scored their first goal in the 27th minute through striker Rokoselie Rhitso.

Kevisanyü Peseyie scored the second goal for the team in the 40th minute, giving Sechü Zubza FC a 2-0 lead going into the break. In the second half of the match, Vanguard Academy struggled to score, while Keviyiekiezo Rhatsu from Sechü Zubza FC added the third goal for the team in the 85th minute, sealing a 3-0 victory.
The match was played against the backdrop of the passing of peace activist Niketu Iralu. Sechü Zubza FC wore black armbands as a mark of respect and remembrance for Iralu, a well-wisher of the club and a respected figure of Sechü Zubza village.
The match was officiated by Mechievilie Yashü as the referee, with Kezevituo Vizo and Imlimenla Jamir as assistant referees. Vihetuo Chietsu served as the Fourth Official, while Medozevi Punyü was the Match Commissioner.
Neidilhoutuo Neibu Sechü, Publicity and Information Secretary of the Tenyimi Union Nagaland, attended the encounter as Match Patron.
Match Day 9 will see Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) take on Nurturing Youngsters FC on August 21 at 3 pm.
