DIMAPUR — Coordination meetings regarding the upcoming Republic Day celebrations were held in Tizit, Niuland and Tening on January 16.
In Tizit, the meeting was held at the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s (ADC) conference hall, where works for the celebration were allotted to various departments and institutions, stated a DIPR report.
SDO (Civil), Tumben P Tsanglao, who chaired the meeting, urged all concerned to carry out their allotted responsibilities sincerely and to ensure that the Republic Day is celebrated in a befitting manner.
All heads of offices (HoDs), educational institutions, public leaders, NGOs, ward chairmen and GBs attended the meeting.
In Niuland, ADC Atsangla chaired the coordination meeting at the DC’s conference hall. While allotting assignments to the various departments, the ADC informed the members that mass social work will be conducted on January 23, starting from 6 am onwards.

In this regard, the ADC urged all the members present to participate in the social work.
Detailed discussions were held on parade arrangements, singing of the national anthem, construction of stalls, security measures, seating arrangements and availability of essential services. Importance was placed on inter-departmental coordination to ensure seamless execution of all scheduled events.
Chuilo assigned specific responsibilities to the concerned departments and issued necessary instructions for the timely completion of all preparatory works. Officials were directed to maintain discipline and ensure active participation.
