DIMAPUR — Tikvah Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. (THPL), in partnership with the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, has marked a milestone in healthcare delivery by establishing a 24/7 radio diagnostic centre at District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) under a pioneering public–private partnership (PPP) model.
Within just one year of operations, the centre has emerged as a state-of-the-art diagnostic hub, delivering affordable, accessible and round-the-clock services to thousands of patients in Nagaland and neighboring states, an update from the hospital stated.
It stated that total of 35,000 patients have availed the service since its inception in September 2024, while an amount of INR 35 lakh could be saved for patients through discounted rates compared to prevailing private diagnostic costs.

The centre also boasts of 24/7 availability of CT scan, ultrasound, and X-ray services, supported by in-house radiologist and sinologist with monthly free fibroscan for liver health screening. It has also benefitted underserved communities through its regular community health camps.
It mentioned that the radio diagnostic centre at DHD is the first-of-its-kind sustainable diagnostic PPP model in Nagaland, ensuring uninterrupted diagnostic services at affordable rates.
Equipped with advanced infrastructure including a GE 32 slice CT scanner and Samsung high-end ultrasound machines, the centre is now preparing for an upgrade with an MRI and new high-definition digital X-ray system.
It added that THPL has created direct employment for radiologists, sonologists, technicians and support staff, while focusing on capacity building for local healthcare professionals. The initiative has also strengthened DHD as a referral hub for neighboring districts and bordering states.
It stated that THPL is working towards enabling DNB courses in radiology, positioning District Hospital Dimapur as a future centre of academic excellence and advanced medical training.
It also envisioned developing DHD into a hub-and-spoke model with tele-radiology services, seamlessly connecting primary health centres (PHC), community health centres (CHC) and other healthcare units across Nagaland. This integrated network was expected to expand access to quality diagnostic care, strengthen referral linkages and significantly enhance radiology services across the state, ultimately benefitting citizens through improved healthcare delivery.
Meanwhile, THPL has expressed gratitude to all doctors at District Hospital Dimapur and officials from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare for their unwavering support and collaboration to deliver on the critical mission of strengthening healthcare for the people.
