Tikhir Students' Union Kohima holds its annual session and career guidance seminar at State Academy Hall.

DIMAPUR — The Tikhir Students' Union Kohima (TSUK) organised its annual session-cum-career guidance programme at the State Academy Hall in Kohima on August 22.
State Information Commissioner Y P Chillio Kham attended the event as the special guest, while Secretariat Assistant T Jongsen served as the resource person, according to an update.
In his address, Kham encouraged the students to pursue their aspirations with dedication, responsibility, and a clear sense of purpose.
The programme brought together students, leaders, and invited guests with a focus on student achievement, career guidance, and personal development.
The opening session featured an exhortation by Tikhir Union Kohima President Y Torepkiu, who encouraged students to remain committed to their studies and future aspirations.

The programme also included the presentation of the Meritorious Award by TSUK Vice President Wongtikiu S, recognising and encouraging students for their academic achievements. A statistical report was presented by TSUK Statistical Secretary Yukhianmong M.
The career guidance seminar was hosted by Khiavito T Y, which included the freshers’ introductory hour and a seminar on the topic "Beyond degrees, choosing the right career path" by T Jongsen.
He shared insights on career planning and highlighted the importance of looking beyond academic qualifications when preparing for the future. Students were encouraged to identify their interests, develop relevant skills, and make informed decisions regarding their career paths.
