
K Furhesie Nyuwi presiding over the meeting of Tening
sub-division Examination Centre Committee at Government Higher Secondary School
in Tening town on February 3.
- DIMAPUR — A coordination meeting of the Tening
sub-division Examination Centre Committee (ECC) was held at Government Higher
Secondary School (GHSS), Tening, on February 3 under the chairmanship of
additional deputy commissioner (ADC) and chairman of ECC, K Furhesie Nyuwi.
- During the meeting, it was resolved that security
arrangements would be taken by office in-charge of Police Station, Tening. It
was also resolved that the village councils and Tening Town Council would
contribute money for transporting of answers scripts to the Post office in
Peren. The contribution would be made through the president of VCC union for
the village councils and should be completed by February 7, stated a DIPR
report.
- In order to help outstation students from GHS Nsong, one
staff quarter of the Forest department has been arranged for accommodation. It
added that the Assam Rifles at Tening, as requested, has come forward to
provide water at two locations namely at Forest department quarter housing HSLC
students and at HSLC exam centre at GHSS Tening.
- The house also requested the Power department to ensure
uninterrupted power supply during the examination.
- It stated that the Tening town councilors, GBs and members
of Tening Town Youth Organisation (TTYO) have entrusted to take necessary
measures to ensure a peaceful environment during the examination.
- The house further requested all concerned to avoid
organising any programme or events during the examination in order to avoid
inconveniences to the students.
- In a related programme, a coordination meeting for the
upcoming HSSLC and HSLC examinations was held in Pungro town on Tuesday at the
office of ADC, which was chaired by EAC, Yitachu.
- All the head of institutions, headmasters, principals, HoD,
NGO representatives, student leaders, district administration officials and
police officers attended the meeting.
