DIMAPUR — The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has directed all schools and hostels—government and private—across Nagaland to comply with safety measures mandated by the Supreme Court to protect children from incidents involving stray dogs.
A notification issued on Friday stated that the directive has been prompted by the Supreme Court order passed on November 7, 2025, in SMW No. 5 of 2025: “City Hounded By Strays, Kids Pay Price”.

Heads of schools have been instructed to submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) by December 17, 2025, without fail.
The scanned and signed ATR (in PDF format) must be uploaded through the “Activities” tab on the DoSE’s Online School Monitoring Portal: https://school.dosenl.in/.
“As the matter pertains to complying with the directives of the Supreme Court and time-bound, all concerned are informed to accord priority and strictly adhere to the given timeline,” it stated.
