Sumi Chess Association Nagaland to mark silver jubilee on August 20 in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The Sumi Chess Association Nagaland (SCAN) will celebrate its silver jubilee on August 20 at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur. The inaugural programme will begin at 10 am at the conference hall with Dr. K Inazhe Phuleshe as the special guest.

According to a press release issued by SCAN, the 12th All Sumi Chess Championship is being organised to commemorate this historic occasion.

So far, 60 participants have registered their names to compete in the championship. At least 70–80 players are expected to take part in the celebration.

All the former presidents, general secretaries, advisors, and members of SCAN have been invited to attend the programme. For the inaugural programme, all the participants and invitees have been requested to be present in formal or semi-formal attire, preferably with a traditional touch.

All college and school students would need to participate in their respective institute uniforms.
