DIMAPUR — Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection, K Tokugha Sukhalu visited Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Zunheboto, on March 20.
Sukhalu, who is also the chairman of the Urban Local Bodies and Village Council Committee, was accompanied by NPF 35 Zunheboto AC party workers, an update stated.
He addressed the students during the morning assembly, drawing from his own early education at the same institution.
He noted that the school has produced many bureaucrats and technocrats and encouraged the students to study hard and pursue their goals. “If they can do it, why can’t you?” he remarked.
He urged students to give importance to education and to respect and honour their mentors, who play a vital role in guiding and shaping their future.

Sukhalu also advised students to clarify their doubts with teachers rather than relying on equally confused peers, and emphasised the importance of cultivating punctuality in their academic lives.
Following the assembly, the advisor held a brief meeting with the faculty, led by the vice principal, during which various grievances were shared.
Sukhalu encouraged the teaching staff to remain sincere and dedicated in their service to the younger generation.
“No matter what the politicians, bureaucrats and technocrats do, teachers are the people who will build students' futures and not us,” he added.
