- DIMAPUR — The March windstorm in Dimapur
continues to disrupt power supply in the city, with the department of Power’s
linemen working since Sunday to restore power supply to the affected areas.
- A large section of the Dimapur district experienced more
than six hours of power outage on Sunday as strong and dusty winds disconnected
the power supply. According to department officials, a faulty line was detected
at the 33KV line at the Nagarjan substation on Sunday.

- Staff members of the Power department in Dimapur were on
duty since 4 am on Monday as the windstorm continued to cause power outages.
- On Monday another faulty line was detected at the 33/11 KV
substation at the Forest colony control room, which supplies power to the Notun
Bosti feeder, Khermahal feeder, Landmark feeder, and Dhobinalla feeder. Faults
were also detected at Mishikito colony and its surrounding area due to “jumping
out of transmission line of 33KV.”
- It was informed that the department personnel could restore
the power supply at 5.40 pm, after around 12 hours of blackout.
