- DIMAPUR — St.
Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, and Immanuel College held farewell
programmes for their outgoing students on May 11 and May 12, respectively.
- The Men’s Hostel of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous),
Jakhama, organised a farewell programme for its outgoing students in the
college auditorium on the theme "Breaking boundaries for building future”.
- The event was attended by R Lungleng, educator and podcaster
(The Lungleng Show), as the special guest, with Rev. Dr. Fr. George Pezalhoukho
George, director of the Men’s Hostel, delivering the welcome address.
- Lungleng delivered the keynote address, urging students to
challenge societal norms and pursue careers aligned with passion rather than
pressure.
- Highlighting the obsession with civil services among Naga
youth, he encouraged the graduates to break free from traditional mindsets and
redefine success. He shared personal struggles with societal expectations,
called for a culture of integrity, and praised the Catholic Church for its role
in shaping society through education and moral guidance.

- Rev. Dr. Fr. Keduolhou George, principal of the college,
criticised ""slactivism"—superficial online support—and called
for real, practical encouragement that stands beside people in times of
struggle. He exhorted students to be courageous, break the boundaries of fear
and doubt, and become agents of moral and spiritual transformation in society.
