Sovima Village Council imposes a 10 pm curfew amid theft concerns and warns shops against selling expired goods
DIMAPUR — The Sovima Village Council has imposed a curfew in the village vicinity from 10 pm, citing concerns over increasing incidents of theft of private and public property.
In a press release, the council informed that the restriction will take effect from October 6 and remain in force until further notice.
It appealed to residents and visitors to cooperate with the measure and requested citizens to report any suspicious activity to the council.
In the same notice, the council cautioned shops against selling expired goods, warning that establishments found selling expired commodities would face penalties and have their trade licences revoked.
