
Lima Lemtur demonstrating sound techniques during a two-day
sound engineering training at SBAK Aizuto on May 6.
- AIZUTO — The
Christian Education Department (CED) of the Sumi Baptist Churches Association
(SBAK) Aizuto, in collaboration with Sound Wave Studio, Mokokchung,
successfully concluded a two-day sound engineering training programme on the
theme “Sound for Jesus” on May 6 in Zunheboto town.
- The initiative, attended by 43 participants, aimed at
equipping youth with skills to manage church sound systems, ensuring seamless
and serene worship services.
- Lima Lemtur, assistant professor at Nagaland Bible College
and proprietor of Sound Wave Studio, Mokokchung, who was the instructor and
course facilitator, imparted comprehensive training on sound techniques and
management.
- “This programme was designed to meet the needs of worship
services while enhancing sound engineering skills among Sumi church youth,”
Lemtur said, emphasising its role in fostering technical proficiency for
spiritual settings.

- On the first day, Rev. Dr. Daniel Chishi, executive
secretary of SBAK Aizuto, attended the event and urged the participants to
master in sound engineering techniques.
- Illika, secretary of Christian Education, and Zhetoli
Ahoshe, coordinator, highlighted the training’s significance for children’s
leaders, who rely on quality sound and music to engage young worshippers through
songs and choreography.
- “Smooth sound systems help children love worshipping the
Lord,” they noted, underscoring the broader impact on youth ministry.
- The training was part of CED’s broader vision to empower
church communities.
- Meanwhile, the department has informed about the upcoming
integrated course in Christian education scheduled from May 6 to the 10th. It
is aimed at equipping Sunday school leaders with theological knowledge and
psychological insights to prepare them for educating generation beta children.
