According to a DIPR report, in accordance with official government directives, all electricity supply must be managed through a properly functioning meter. The purpose of smart metering is to improve transparency, billing accuracy, energy management, and the overall efficiency of electricity services for consumers.
The installation process is being conducted strictly through authorised agencies and officials. All consumers are requested to extend cooperation to the installation personnel during the execution of this work.
Further, the general public has been advised not to spread or circulate misleading information regarding smart meters. Spreading unverified or false information may create unnecessary confusion and fear among the public.
