Skill enhancement resource book unveiled at Kisama Heritage Village

DIMAPUR — A seminal publication, “A resource book on skill enhancement,” was unveiled by Tepul Hopovi, president of the Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO), at the APO Morung, Kisama Heritage Village, on November 22.

According to an update, the event was attended by SAPO executives, members of the Southern Angami Women Organisation (SAWO) and Angami Public Organisation (APO) attires committee.

The publication, penned by Chozhůle Kikhi, a former employee of the Horticulture department, Government of Nagaland, is a meticulously crafted guide designed to empower individuals with an array of skills, enabling them to generate sustainable income streams within their families, it stated.

Leveraging her vast and varied experience, Kikhi harbours the aspiration that the book will prove to be a veritable boon to readers, thereby contributing to the economic renaissance of the state.

Delivering the keynote address, the APO president underscored the paramount importance of self-employment as a panacea for the prevailing unemployment conundrum in Nagaland, while accentuating the state's cornucopia of natural resources.

In her remarks, Kikhi exhorted the gathering to harness these resources and explore the plethora of opportunities for self-employment, thereby charting a course for sustainable development.

“The release of ‘A resource book on skill enhancement’ is poised to provide a significant fillip to Nagaland's development trajectory by fostering a culture of skill development and entrepreneurial zeal,” the update stated.

Extolling Kikhi’s efforts in bringing forth the seminal work, Hopovi lauded her dedication and expressed optimism that her future endeavours would continue to illuminate the path of progress for the people of Nagaland.
