Sivasagar Warriors won the Tizit Day-Night Volleyball Tournament title, defeating Radical Hornbill in the final at Lapa Lampong.

DIMAPUR — The fifth edition of the Tizit Day-Night Volleyball Tournament concluded on December 9 evening at GMS Ground, Lapa Lampong, with Sivasagar Warriors emerging champions.
The two-day tournament, organised by Naoshelim, featured eight teams and was held to raise funds for individuals affected by drug and substance abuse, rehabilitation needs, illness, fire incidents and natural disasters, a press release from the club stated.
In the final, Sivasagar Warriors defeated Radical Hornbill in four sets. The Warriors took the first set 25–21, before Radical Hornbill levelled the match 28–26. Sivasagar Warriors regained control in the third and fourth sets, winning 25–17 and 25–15 to claim the trophy and the winner’s prize of INR 50,000. Radical Hornbill received INR 25,000 as runners-up.

In the semi-finals, Radical Hornbill beat One Team One Dream 25–16 and 25–23, while Sivasagar Warriors defeated Eagle Elites 25–14 and 25–18.
Individual awards were also presented: Wonglon of Sivasagar Warriors was named Best Spiker, Toshienba of Radical Hornbill received Best Setter and Eagle Elites won Best Disciplined Team.
The opening ceremony was graced by B Tingnon Konyak, PS to the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, while Captain Shubham Vyas of 42 Assam Rifles attended the closing ceremony as Guest of Honour.
In his address, Captain Vyas commended Naoshelim for its efforts to combat drug abuse and urged youth to refrain from such habits. He announced a donation of a table tennis board to Naoshelim and a water tank for Lapa Lampong.
