DIMAPUR — A farewell programme for the outgoing Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Shamator, Chubatemjem, was held at the DC's conference hall on May 22.
According to an update, the outgoing DC expressed gratitude to all Shamator-based heads of departments (HoDs), civil society organisations, and the public for their cooperation during his tenure, stating that their active support ensured the smooth functioning of his office.
He urged all HoDs to be more dedicated to their assignments, noting that Shamator, being one of the newest districts of the state, needs more attention and care for all-round development.

Speaking on behalf of the Yimkhiung Tribal Council, Hankiu expressed gratitude to the outgoing DC for his service and constant presence in the station to monitor the administration.
He specifically thanked him for supporting the completion of the town road extension and wished him the best in his future endeavours.
Athrong Yimchunger, SDO Hq, speaking on behalf of the district administration, thanked the DC for his accessibility and service, adding that his guidance in discharging public duties would be remembered.
