DIMAPUR — North Zone, South Zone, and West Zone registered victories in the ongoing Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T20 Trophy matches played at the Nagaland Cricket Ground and Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, on Monday.
According to an update, at the Nagaland Cricket Ground, North Zone continued their impressive run in the tournament, securing a 6-wicket win over Central Zone. A dominant batting display led by Shweta Sehrawat’s explosive half-century guided North Zone to a comfortable chase.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Central Zone posted 127/6 in 20 overs. D D Kasat scored a composed 48 off 47 balls, while Anushka Sharma contributed 43 off 39, helping their side reach a defendable total. For the North Zone, Mannat Kashyap stood out with 2 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs, keeping the scoring under control through the middle overs.
In reply, North Zone reached the target in just 16.3 overs. Sehrawat was in sublime form, smashing a match-winning 62 off 32 balls. S M Singh provided solid support with 34 off 29 balls. Simran Dil Bahadur also contributed with the ball earlier, taking 2 wickets for 27 runs in 3 overs.
North Zone won by 6 wickets, with Shweta Sehrawat named Player of the Match for her 62 off 32 balls.

At the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, South Zone defeated North East Zone by 38 runs. South Zone posted a total of 149/6 after being sent in to bat. S A Lonkar anchored the innings with 37 off 34 balls, while Sajana S provided late fireworks with an unbeaten 31 off 15 balls, propelling her team past 140.
For North East Zone, Pranita C was the standout bowler with 2 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs.
In response, North East Zone managed 111/7 in 20 overs. Najmeen Khatun scored 30 not out off 27 balls, while D D Dutta added 30 off 29, but regular breakthroughs from South Zone’s bowlers restricted their scoring momentum. Asha S was exceptional with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 11 runs in 4 overs.
South Zone won by 38 runs, with Sajana S named Player of the Match for her unbeaten 31 off 15 balls.
At the Nagaland Cricket Ground, West Zone continued their winning momentum with a 7-wicket victory over East Zone.
Batting first, East Zone posted 134/7 in 20 overs. T Sarkar top-scored with 32 off 23 balls, supported by Tanmayee Behera with 31 off 24 and Mita Paul with 28 off 35. For West Zone, Ishita Khale delivered an impressive spell of 3 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs, while Kesha and A A Patil picked up 2 wickets each.
Chasing the target, West Zone reached 135/3 in 19.2 overs. K P Navgire led the assault with a blistering 48 off 23 balls, while Humairaa Kaazi anchored the chase with a fluent 50 off 44 balls. For the East Zone, Sushree Dibyadarshini was the most effective bowler, taking 2 wickets for 27 runs.
West Zone won by 7 wickets, with K P Navgire named Player of the Match for her quickfire 48.
