- IMPHAL — Senapati-based
Naga bodies including the Naga Peoples' Organisation (NPO), Senapati District
Students' Association (SDSA), and Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA)
have condemned the April 3 vandalism and arson at Kazanga, a Maram Naga
village, allegedly by armed Kuki volunteers from Valpabung village.
- In a joint press release, the three Naga organisations also
condemned the alleged “brutal attack” carried out by Kuki militants disguised
as civilians on April 5, targeting the residents of Konsakhul Naga village, as
well as vandalising their belongings.
- “The Naga people have stood for peace and neutrality in the
ongoing ethnic conflict in the State, refraining from taking sides in the
turmoil that has persisted for years.”
- “The recent acts of aggression represented a
well-coordinated and deliberate attempt to drag the Nagas into the crisis,
involving trespassing and the unlawful confiscation of indigenous Naga
ancestral land by refugees,” the organisations said.

consequences would follow if the demand is not heeded.
