State Council of Educational Research and Training conducts orientation-cum-teachers’ training in Chizami.

DIMAPUR — With the primary objective to enhance teachers’ capacities in effective classroom transactions in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and national curriculum framework, a two-day orientation-cum-teachers’ training was conducted at Goyiepra Memorial Government High School’s auditorium in Chizami on August 21 and 22.
An update from the school stated that the training was facilitated by faculty from SCERT, Kohima, namely Izeule Ramlia, Metsesulu Veyie and Mhalo Ovung.

A total of 42 teachers representing various schools under Chizami sub-division including GHS Thetsumi, GMS Enhulumi, GMS Chizami Old Town, GM GHS Chizami, GHS Mesulumi and Eastern Mission High School Chizami participated in the programme.
It stated that different topics such as knowing self, NEP 2020, national curriculum framework for foundational stage (NCF-FS), national curriculum framework for school education (NCF-SE), transforming teaching learning process, leading partnership and 21st century skills were emphasised during the two-day sessions.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Seno Tsuhah, assistant head master of GM GHS Chizami, while an invocation prayer was said by Vikholie Venuh, headmaster of Eastern Mission High School.
The training concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kesevotso Lüho, graduate teacher (Maths) at GHS Thetsumi village.
Meanwhile, the school has extended appreciation to Keviraleü Kerhuo, director of SCERT Nagaland, for approving the school leadership academy (SLA) faculty to facilitate the crucial training in a rural area.
