Sao Chang College in Tuensang honoured seven Nagaland University rank holders with certificates and cash awards during a felicitation event.

DIMAPUR — Sao Chang College, Tuensang, organised a felicitation programme on July 18 at the college’s multi-purpose hall to honour its students who secured ranks in the Nagaland University CBCS Examination 2025.
P Bashangmongba Chang, Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering, attended the occasion as the special guest, according to an update from the college. Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, among others, was also present.
The programme included the presentation of certificates and cash awards to the university toppers, the Academic Excellence Award for overall performance in the college, and the Student of the Year Award constituted by the college.

Bashangmongba felicitated all seven toppers with a cash amount of INR 10,000 each. In his speech, the minister emphasised that success comes through dedication and determination, encouraged students to rely on merit, and reminded them that earning a degree is just the beginning of their larger journey.
DC Rutsa lauded the achievements of the toppers on the occasion, highlighting the importance of education. She encouraged the students to believe in themselves and work hard, emphasising that no matter what background the students come from, they have the potential to achieve academic excellence if they are sincere, humble, and hard-working.
