Salangtem Youth Union organises 1st excellence award programme

MOKOKCHUNG — The Salangtem Youth Union (SYU) organised its first Excellence Award programme on December 18 at the Salangtem community hall, Mokokchung, to honour L Zonisen Longkumer for her outstanding achievement in securing Rank 10 in the HSSLC Examination 2025 under the NBSE.

Supongsangla Walling, general secretary of SYU, chaired the programme and Lanutemsu, president of SYU, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of encouraging excellence and motivating the youths to strive for higher goals.

Words of exhortation were delivered by representatives from Salangtem Ward Yimden and Lanuakum, deputy chairman of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), who encouraged the youths to uphold discipline, perseverance, and responsibility as future leaders of society.

The award presentation was conducted by Dr. Narola, representing the Excellence Award Board of Trustees, felicitating for her commendable performance in recent examination.

A word of gratitude was expressed by L Zonisen Longkumer, who shared her experience and encouraged youths to remain focused and dedicated.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Lanupokyim, convenor of Excellence Award Board of Trustees.
