DIMAPUR — Beauty Barn, a K‑beauty and skincare consultation platform, launched its second store in Chümoukedima district on Friday.
Founder Toinali Chophi, who started the venture in 2016 from home, is now expanding her start-up beyond her hometown.
At the store launch, Chophi shared plans to open a Kohima outlet next year and is scouting locations in other cities to open more physical Beauty Barn stores though she kept those names confidential for now. The brand already has franchises in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
From Instagram to stores—Beauty Barn’s growth’s been a story of success. In under a decade, from attending to customers through social media and website and an app, now has two physical stores—Dimapur and Chümoukedima.

‘Physical stores let us go beyond online shopping offering consultations and hands-on service. Both online and offline sales are strong, but people like to seek expert advice’, said Chophi.
Beauty Barn’s success from Nagaland has been a win-win as it has connected with customer’s nationwide and nurtured local talent.
“Our goal’s been to create jobs and get skilled folks back to Nagaland”, she said, and added that her team of 50 people is almost 90% Nagas.
