DIMAPUR — Sainik School Punglwa organised its annual investiture ceremony on Saturday, during which 42 cadets were piped with various appointments and leadership responsibilities.
According to an update, the event offers deserving and promising cadets the opportunity and responsibility to serve their institution while honing leadership skills. The ceremony was attended by the School Principal, Col. Dr. Smita Misra.
During the ceremony, a total of 42 cadets were bestowed with various leadership roles, including 14 school-level appointments and 28 house appointments across the school's 10 houses.
Langpai L was appointed as the school cadet captain, while Dzuzuto took charge as the school adjutant. Pranav, Aditya Kumar, and Esu Lajemei were appointed as the school’s academic, discipline, and sports captains, respectively.

Furthermore, Angela Rimi Pura was named captain for the girl cadets, with Laishram Daina Devi serving as the vice-captain.
Marking the occasion, the Principal also released "VYWOM" (Voice of the Young Warriors of Morung), the school’s biannual cadet newsletter.
In her address, Col. Dr. Misra highlighted the weight of the responsibilities entrusted to the new student leaders and urged them to abide by the oath they had taken.
She reminded the cadets to dedicate sufficient time to their studies, even as they head into their summer vacation.
