DIMAPUR — The Community Care and Empowering Society (CCES) unveiled a Rural Experience Centre at the Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) Mission Centre, Longleng, on Tuesday with support from the Customised Energy Solutions Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Longleng W Manpai Phom attended the occasion as the special guest, according to a DIPR report.
In his address, Manpai underscored that different regions require customised interventions suited to their specific needs. He highlighted the significance of the Rural Experience Centre in promoting rural empowerment, encouraging innovation, and introducing appropriate machinery for agricultural and community use.
The Executive Secretary of PBCA, N Tialemba Phom, in his welcome address, emphasised the importance of implementing projects that cater to the needs of rural communities. Rupesh Badkhal, programme manager, CESF and UNDP, presented the background and context of the Rural Experience Centre initiative.
