DIMAPUR — The 23rd installation ceremony of the Rotary Club Kohima, RID 3240, was held on July 29 at Kohima Don Bosco College Conference Hall in the presence of former Assistant Governor, Rtn. Dr. Nitin Agarwal.
Speaking at the ceremony, Agarwal lauded the Rotary Club Kohima for their effortless contributions to various projects undertaken for the service of the people to date, stated a press release.
Wishing the new team well, he urged them to continue the yeoman service the club has undertaken and to further contribute and work together with the community to achieve greater heights following the club guidelines.
Earlier, newly installed president Rtn. Kevino Savino, in her acceptance speech, reminded that the Rotary Club is more than an organisation; it is a realisation that every member has a mission to contribute to humanity, as the motto stands: "Service Above Self."
She stated that the new team will join hands to lead, serve, and empower by uniting the people for humanity, will build on the existing programmes of the club, and will bring new initiatives that echo Rotary’s motto. Further, they will work to continue bridging the gap between means and solutions, words and action, and extend every possible service to humanity.
