Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio mourns Langto Konyak, Angh of Sangsa and father of Minister Paiwang Konyak, recalling his legacy.

DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief at the passing of Langto Konyak, the Angh of Sangsa village and father of Health and Family Welfare Minister, P Paiwang Konyak.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday, Rio described Langto as an “efficient and compassionate leader” who was respected for his able leadership and generosity. He recalled him as a man of deep knowledge, well-versed in Naga history, particularly that of the Konyak people.
The chief minister further said that Langto was a true man of god, devoted to outreach missions and the spreading of the gospel. His unwavering faith, Rio noted, had instilled in his children the values of humility and kindness.

“With his passing, the Konyak community has lost one of its guardians, and his absence will be profoundly felt. While he will be dearly missed, let us also celebrate his life by cherishing the rich legacy he leaves behind,” Rio stated.
On behalf of the government of Nagaland, the chief minister conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
