DIMAPUR — Phek district has launched the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), a comprehensive health campaign, on September 17 focusing on the well-being of women and children.
Launched as part of the broader national vision for women’s health empowerment, the campaign is currently reaching far-flung villages across the district through dedicated health camps, mobile medical unit and RBSK conducted by the medical officers, nurses, community health officers and other healthcare workers posted in different health facilities.
An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Phek, stated that the campaign would continue its activities till October 2 by ensuring that no women or family in district is left behind in accessing basic healthcare.

The key services included ANC, PNC, NCD screening, health education and vaccination etc.
In another programme, the District Health Society, Peren, conducted Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan camp at PHC Heningkunglwa on September 24.
Health services such as anemia and adolescent health screening, immunisation, screening for NCD, tuberculosis, vector-borne diseases, DISHA counseling and mental health support were provided during the camp. Besides health services, medicines were provided free of cost to all the patients.
Focus group discussion was conducted, where pamphlets and leaflets were distributed.
The team was led by Dr. Rongsenangla, nurses, lab technician, ASHA and vertical programme staff.
