MOKOKCHUNG — The closing ceremony of the 35+ Mokokchung Football League (MFL) Season 6 took place at Aongza Ki, Mokokchung, on Sunday.
This season, Revenant FC emerged as the champions, claiming their sixth consecutive title with 55 points and only four losses in 25 matches. New Ecclesia finished as the runners-up with 44 points.
During the ceremony, the 35+ MFL announced the launch of the 35+ MFL Vision League, a new football league dedicated exclusively to children under 13 years of age.
The Assistant Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajay Moktan, unveiled the Vision League trophy and announced that the league will commence by late November 2025 and continue into early 2026.
The Vision League will be organised under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) to ensure high standards of organisation, fairness, and sportsmanship. It will feature six clubs—Rising Phoenix FC, Speedy Cheetahs, Mini Marvels, Tenacious Titans, Daring Dolphins, and Agile Avenger—with each team comprising 12 players competing in a 7-a-side format.

The Vision League initiative follows a coaching clinic held in June 2025 in collaboration with Barak FC, where head coach Brando trained 120 under-13 players. The league’s participants will be primarily drawn from this group.
Tiakumzuk, a member of the 35+ MFL, shared that the league has long envisioned fostering football among the youth of Mokokchung, with the aim of ensuring that children’s talents are recognised, nurtured, and celebrated from an early age while announcing the Vision League.
He informed that the Vision League is fully sponsored by Longterok Sports Management, led by Temjenmoa Jamir, proprietor of Nagaland Minerals and Mines. He added that the management aims to build a future by supporting young footballers.

He said that the league, founded on the principles of fitness, fairness, and fellowship, has successfully completed its sixth season with the support of all clubs and the 35+ MFL fraternity.
