DIMAPUR — The District Health Society Longleng conducted a Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) camp at Hukphang village, Longleng district, on September 9.
According to an update, the camp was conducted with a team of medical officers, staff, and programme personnel from the CMO office and District Hospital Longleng.
The initiative aimed to strengthen maternal and child health services, provide specialist consultations, and extend essential healthcare to the community at their doorstep.

Dr. Imtijungshi Aier, District Programme Officer (DPO) (RCH/UIP), in his short speech, appealed to the public to avail themselves of the opportunity and make the best use of the health services provided during the RCH camp.
He emphasised the importance of strengthening maternal and child health, highlighting that such outreach camps help bridge the gap between health facilities and rural communities.
Health workers and ASHAs mobilised participants and ensured smooth conduct of the programme. A total of 130 beneficiaries availed services.
Distribution of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) leaflets and FGDs on child health, family planning, immunisation, importance of antenatal care (ANC), breastfeeding, and nutritional counselling were also conducted during the camp.
