Rengma Hoho elects new team for 2026-28 led by Gwasinlo Thong during its executive meeting at Town Hall, Tseminyu.

DIMAPUR — The Rengma Hoho held its general executive body meeting at the Town Hall, Tseminyu, on January 10.
According to a press release, the meeting approved the Rengma Hoho Constitution (4th Amendment) and elected the office bearers of the Rengma Hoho for the tenure 2026–2028.
Gwasinlo Thong was elected as president. The vice presidents are Khillo and Phillip Kent. Thomas K Rengma was elected as general secretary and Anilo Rengma as secretary.
Other elected members include Kenneth Woch as media secretary, P Ngabu Tep as cultural secretary, Sosin Ras and Renosin Kath as women coordinators, A Khekiya Ghaponza as finance secretary, and Hanenmu Semy as treasurer.

The meeting further resolved to induct the Rengma Nzonkhwen Literature Board, the Rengma Nthenyi Literature Board, and the Rengma Sports Association into the Rengma Hoho executive.
The meeting was chaired by Timothy Thong, vice president. Hanenmu Semy, vice president, delivered the welcome address.
Tesinlo Semy delivered the keynote address, while Rev. Dr. Phanenmo Kath, professor at Eastern Theological College, Jorhat, was the theme speaker on “Reformation of leadership in the contemporary Rengma context”.
