BENGALURU — Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru returned to winning ways with a five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in the IPL here on Friday.
RCB overhauled the challenging 206-run target in 18.5 overs, the win brilliantly set up by Virat Kohli's 44-ball 81 (8x4, 4x6) and Devdutt Padikkal's quickfire 27-ball 55 (2x4, 6x6). Kohli was dropped on zero by Washington Sundar which proved costly for GT.
The duo put together 115 runs from 59 balls for the third wicket to make it a lopsided chase.

Opener Sai Sudharsan returned to form with a 58-ball 100, his third IPL century, as Gujarat Titans posted 205/3 after RCB opted to bowl.
GT had a 128-run opening stand with Sudharsan, the last season's Orange Cap winner with 759 runs, getting into his rhythm hitting 11 fours and five sixes.
Skipper Shubman Gill made a quiet 24-ball 32.
Making his GT debut, Jason Holder (23 not out; 10 balls) smashed two sixes and one four in the final over to prop up the total.
