KIPHIRE — As part of Swasth Nari Sashkt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) campaign, the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) of Kiphire district, in collaboration with Atshikeh Trust and Akeda Amulung MMU Unit, Kiphire, conducted health camps in Thangthure village and at Good Shepherd High School, Kiphire.
The villagers comprising elderly people, children and adolescents availed various services during the health camp. The services included 4Ds screening for children, oral cancer screening, entero-test, haemoglobin (Hb) testing, hypertension screening, random blood glucose (RBG) testing, HIV screening, NS1 antigen screening, scrub typhus serological testing, malaria antigen testing and tetanus toxoid (TT) vaccination. Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials were also distributed to the participants.

Besides, sessions on menstrual health and hygiene, oral health practices and tobacco-use cessation were conducted. Additionally, awareness and sanitary pads were given to adolescent girls and women.
Notably, intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) treatment was performed on two women.
The camp offered a wide range of preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic services with a special focus on maternal and child health, infectious diseases and nutrition awareness.
The initiative was aimed at improving community health and empowering women and families in Kiphire district through accessible medical services and health education.
