- DIMAPUR — Putuonuo Hospital Kohima observed “Cancer Survivors Day” on
June 7 with a gathering of 125 attendees, including survivors, caregivers,
families, and healthcare professionals.

- According to a press release, Padma Shri Neidonuo Angami, opening
the programme, shared her journey, emphasising the importance of patience,
faith, and community support in the healing process.
- The gathering was led in prayer by Chenlen Phom, who spoke
on behalf of her mother, a survivor treated at Putuonuo Hospital. Menuoneituo
Chadi shared his cancer journey, highlighting the quiet strength of caregivers.
Asang shared her testimony of undergoing chemotherapy during pregnancy and
safely delivering her child. Razou Thorie Tzudir shared her father’s healing
journey.
- Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu, director of operations and surgical
oncologist at Putuonuo Hospital, closed the event with a vote of thanks.
- The programme also honoured the youngest and oldest
survivors, along with a rare and special case of Asang, who underwent
chemotherapy during pregnancy.
