Punjab and Maharashtra qualified for Semi-final 2 of the Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025–26 after dominant group-stage wins.

DIMAPUR — Punjab and Maharashtra have secured their places in semi-final 2 of the Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2), following dominant performances in their respective groups.
The semi-final will be played today at 6:30 pm at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium inside the Police Complex.
The championship’s Tier 2 round has so far featured twelve matches across two groups—Group B, consisting of Andaman & Nicobar, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Nagaland; and Group D, comprising Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram and Madhya Pradesh.

Punjab’s campaign has been a rampage — they opened with a 20-0 demolition of Andaman & Nicobar, then edged Uttarakhand 2-1 and crushed Nagaland 7-0.
Maharashtra started with a 3-3 draw against Mizoram, beat Madhya Pradesh 2-0, and finished strong by thrashing Himachal Pradesh 14-0. Both sides have secured their places in Semi-final 2.
Fixtures for Group A (Uttar Pradesh, Tripura) and Group C (Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh) will begin on December 2.
