Pungro sub-division officials review departmental projects, challenges and coordination plans during a coordination meeting of heads of departments.

DIMAPUR — A coordination meeting of all heads of departments (HoDs) for the Pungro sub-division was held at the ADC office, Pungro, on Tuesday, under the newly posted Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Hotolu Sema.
According to a DIPR report, various department heads highlighted the projects undertaken and ongoing programmes in the subdivision. They also put forward the challenges faced by each department while highlighting their departmental activities.
Some key details discussed included the awareness programme and ongoing vaccination for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) undertaken by the Community Health Centre, Pungro; the successful completion of free distribution of textbooks and uniforms by the Department of School Education; and maintaining the average teacher-student ratio.
The Agriculture department informed that free machinery and seeds would be distributed. The issue of lack of a proper documentation process for the Inner Line Permit (ILP) under Pungro was also highlighted by officer-in-charge Pungro, while ADC Pungro assured cooperation with the police to find a feasible solution.

The ongoing process of adoption of smart meters was highlighted by the sub-divisional officer (SDO) (Electrical), while the SDO (Road and Bridges) notified the ongoing projects under the department. The Public Health Engineering Department highlighted the issue of water scarcity due to the depletion of the two major water sources.
Representative from the Khongsa Aspirational Block spoke about the successful completion of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 and the installation of NITI TARA at the ADC office, Pungro.
The Social Welfare department representative highlighted the success of the Poshan Tracker initiative and the well-maintained worker-population ratio. The Post Office representative highlighted the progress of the department.
In his concluding remarks, ADC Pungro focused on the importance of teamwork and how one department can supplement the other by coming together through such meetings and finding solutions through brainstorming together.
He also maintained that the coordination meeting would be held every three months.
