DIMAPUR — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief and sadness over the passing of Imkong L Imchen, Advisor for Information and Public Relations, and Soil and Water Conservation, who passed away in Guwahati on November 11.
In a condolence message, the prime minister described Imchen’s demise as “an irreparable loss that cannot be put into words.”
He said that the late leader’s contributions in various capacities—whether in governance or as a people’s representative—reflected his unwavering dedication and commitment to the people of Nagaland.
Blessed with fine organisational skills, the dedication and commitment with which he served to strengthen the BJP in Nagaland over many decades will always be remembered by the people, Modi stated.
He further said that Imchen would be deeply missed by his family, friends and well-wishers, adding that his memory and legacy would continue to inspire many.
The prime minister extended condolences to the bereaved family. “May the family members gather the strength and fortitude to endure this grievous loss,” he added.
