  • The solemn prayer service was led by Thsarise, pastor of Longmatra Town Baptist Lithro, who sought God’s blessings for the successful completion of the project.

  • Later, a consultative meeting was held with various organisations and village elders. The meeting was attended by representatives from the United Sangtam Likhum Pümji (USLP), Akedha Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang (AST), United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC), Longmatra Area Students' Union (LASU), and elders of Sanphure village.

  • During the discussion, the construction committee highlighted that the entire project is being carried out purely through crowd funding with contributions from the well-wishers. They expressed gratitude for the support received so far and further sought assistance from individuals and organisations towards the project.

  • In a significant gesture, the United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC), in collaboration with the Department of Power, handed over more than 15 electric poles. Those electric poles would be used for installing street lights in the area surrounding the heritage gate.

  • The construction of the Sangtam heritage village gate is seen as a meaningful step towards preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Sangtam people while also serving as a landmark for future generations.
