DIMAPUR — Power department has announced a scheduled power shutdown in Mon district from July 28 to August 2, to facilitate vegetation clearance work along the 66kV Naginimora-Tizit transmission line under Mokokchung Transmission Division.
According to a press release issued by the executive engineer of Mokokchung Transmission Division, the daily shutdown will be enforced from 8 am to 4 pm throughout the period.

The clearance activity is being undertaken to ensure uninterrupted and stable power supply by preventing outages caused by overgrown vegetation along the transmission corridor.
The department appealed to the public in the affected areas to cooperate during this time and bear with the temporary inconvenience.
