- DIMAPUR — The Power Department Junior
Engineers’ Association (PDJESA) expressed its full solidarity with the All
Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) in its ongoing protest
against the Government of Nagaland.
- In a press statement, the PDJESA stated that the demands
raised by ANEFWA are genuine and long overdue.
- Stating that these demands reflect the harsh realities and
daily challenges faced by field workers who risk their lives to ensure an
uninterrupted power supply to the people of Nagaland, it noted that it is
deeply disheartening that the government has continued to turn a deaf ear to
their rightful concerns.

- “PDJESA firmly believes that the welfare and safety of
electricity workers must be a priority and that the government must take
immediate and sincere steps to address the issues raised. In this light, PDJESA
extends its unwavering support to ANEFWA and will stand by them in their
protest for justice and dignity,” the statement read.
- PDJESA also called upon the government to engage in
meaningful dialogue with the ANEFWA leadership and resolve the matter without
further delay, in the larger interest of public service and employee welfare.
