- DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Electricity Field
Workers’ Association (ANEFWA) has called off their proposed phase-wise
agitation following an assurance from the Power department to meet their
demands.
- The decision to shelve the agitation was taken after a
meeting, pertaining to a charter of demands/ultimatum submitted by the
association, with the Minister of Power KG Kenye on Monday in Kohima.
- Prior to the meeting, the association on Monday began its
first phase of agitation by wearing black badges—following the expiry of its
ultimatum after suspending their previous ‘proposed agitation.’
- On February 10, the association had submitted a 10-point
demand to the engineer-in-chief.
