DIMAPUR — The department of Power has announced a major enforcement drive against electricity bill defaulters and power theft in Dimapur, warning that disconnection of supply and action against illegal connections will begin from June 10.
In a public notice issued on Monday, the Dimapur Electrical Division stated that the campaign will cover all categories of consumers under its jurisdiction and target non-payment of electricity bills as well as illegal activities such as meter tampering, hooking and unauthorised load alteration.
It advised consumers with pending electricity bills to clear their dues within the stipulated time to avoid disconnection and other inconveniences.

The department also encouraged consumers to make online payments by logging into the Department of Power portal using their Consumer ID to view and pay outstanding bills.
It cautioned that the enforcement drive would be carried out without further notice and would continue on a regular basis as part of its efforts to ensure compliance with electricity regulations.
