IMD forecasts widespread rainfall and thunderstorms across Nagaland, with heavy rain likely in isolated areas through June 12

DIMAPUR — Nagaland is expected to witness widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over the coming week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places across the state from June 7 to the 12th.
According to the IMD's district-wise weather forecast, Peren, Kohima, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Longleng, Mon and Tuensang districts are likely to receive fairly widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms on June 7 and 8.
Dimapur is expected to witness scattered rainfall and thunderstorms on June 7, followed by fairly widespread rainfall on June 8 and 9. From June 10 to 12, the district is likely to experience widespread rainfall and thunderstorm activity.
Peren, Kohima, Phek, Zunheboto and Mon are forecast to receive widespread rainfall and thunderstorms from June 9 to 12.
Phek is likely to experience scattered rainfall and thunderstorms on June 7, with rainfall activity becoming fairly widespread on June 8.

Wokha is expected to witness fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on June 7 and 12, scattered rainfall on June 8, and widespread rainfall and thunderstorms from June 9 to 11.
Kiphire is likely to receive fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on June 7, scattered rainfall on June 8, and fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms from June 9 to 11. The district is expected to witness widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on June 12.
Mokokchung is forecast to receive widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on June 9 and 10, while fairly widespread rainfall is expected on June 11 and 12.
Longleng is likely to experience fairly widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on June 9 and 12, and widespread rainfall on June 10 and 11.
Tuensang is expected to witness widespread rainfall and thunderstorms on June 9, 11 and 12, while fairly widespread rainfall is forecast on June 10.
