
- DIMAPUR — The
third edition of Pol-Fiesta, an annual event of the Political Science
Association (PSA) of St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, held on the theme
“Bollywood blockbuster” concluded on May 1.
- An update from the university stated that the event was
designed to showcase the extracurricular talents of students, reflected the
department’s commitment to holistic education and blending academic insight
with creative expression.
- It informed that unlike previous editions, this year’s
Pol-Fiesta was an intra-departmental celebration, focusing exclusively on the
students of the department of Political Science.
- The fest began with the inaugural session, wherein the dean
of Social Sciences, Dr. Kinitoli Yeptho, released the first annual departmental
magazine. The inaugural session also witnessed the ceremonial handing over of
responsibilities from the outgoing PSA executives to the newly elected team.

- Additionally, the first session witnessed a mobile cinema
exhibition, a creative platform that allowed students to express critical
narratives through short films. The exhibition was judged by Dr. Noarem
Nishikanta Singh and D Kayideluo Pfoze, both from the department of Journalism
and Mass Communication.
- The second session saw a series of class-wise competitions
in quartet, shayari (poetry slam), comedy mimicry and dance. It stated that UG
IV semester of Political Science department emerged as the overall champion of
Pol-Fiesta 2025.
