DIMAPUR — The Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO) and the Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) have expressed solidarity with the Zeliangrong Youth Organisation Nagaland (ZYON) in its demand for justice in the unresolved murder case that took place in Pimla village on April 7.

In a statement, the CYO and WSYF urged law enforcement agencies to expedite the investigation and deliver justice to the victim at the earliest.

“While we appreciate the unceasing efforts of the enforcing agencies, we also recall the maxim that justice delayed is justice denied. In this perplexity, we entrust our faith in the enforcement agencies to uncover the truth, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring justice to the victim,” the statement read.

While extending solidarity to ZYON and its frontal organisations, the two youth bodies said that they do not endorse the organisation operating under the name and banner "Western Naga Youth Front (WNYF)" and its call for a peaceful protest on August 25.

Reiterating their earlier joint resolution, the CYO and WSYF categorically stated that they neither recognise nor acknowledge any association functioning under the name "WNYF" or any activity or platform in which it may be a part.

In this regard, they cautioned members of their communities to refrain from any activities or associations with this group.
