The Nagaland Pickleball Association held its first-ever pickleball workshop in Dimapur with coach Dilip Mohanty, attracting participants of all ages ahead of the first Nagaland Pickleball Open Tournament.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) conducted its first-ever pickleball workshop on Saturday at Aiko Greens, Dimapur, in collaboration with the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA).
According to an update, the free workshop was led by Dilip Mohanty, a certified PPR coach from the United States of America.
With no prior registration required, it said that the evening saw a turnout of participants from various backgrounds and age groups — from curious beginners to local athletes looking to refine their skills.

“Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and seeing the excitement and energy here in Nagaland gives us confidence that the sport has a bright future in the Northeast,” said Mohanty.
The session, which ran from 6 pm to 8 pm, focused on basic techniques, game strategies, and real-time play demonstrations — creating a build-up for the first Nagaland Pickleball Open Tournament on July 13 at the same venue.
