The Phek District Wushu Association has been officially formed with elected office bearers to promote and develop Wushu in the district.

KOHIMA — The Phek District Wushu Association (PDWA) was officially formed on Tuesday at a meeting held in Kohima.
The house, during the meeting, unanimously approved the name and elected the following office bearers: Hukupa Ciekhan (president), Vezokho Luruo (general secretary), Rukukhoto Khusoh (vice president), Micheal Rhakho (technical secretary), Vezhokhoyi Khokhru (finance secretary), and Vemele Thingo (treasurer). Vekhozo Ringa (advisor) was also appointed.
In his address, Vekhozo Ringa, general secretary, highlighted the importance of developing Wushu in Phek to be on par with other districts in the state, stated an update from the PDWA.

The meeting resolved to select an official logo and motto, draft a constitution, and set a three-year tenure for office bearers.
