DIMAPUR — The District Level Committee for Water and Sanitation met at the DC's conference hall in Phek on June 23, to discuss Jal Jeevan Mission implementation.
Deputy Commissioner and committee chairman, Rhosietho Nguori, announced that the committee will hold quarterly meetings, as per a DIPR report.
Reports presented during the meeting indicated that Jal Jeevan Mission projects are being implemented by the PHED and Rural Development departments, covering 112 villages in the district.
Executive Engineer, PHED, Narisen Jami, reported that JJM projects are implemented through village WATSAN committees. She also updated that the PHED is supervising 91 villages, with 60% of the work completed and certified.

Project Director DRDA, Phek, Zhoi Lohe, reported that JJM projects in 25 villages are being implemented under RD department supervision, with all 25 projects successfully completed.
In his closing remarks, the chairman asked the line departments to carry out intensive supervision of all implementing projects for successful completion of works.
