DIMAPUR — Pfutsero Government College organised the 43rd fresher’s day programme on August 7 at its auditorium on the theme “Echoes of a new beginning,” with the participation of faculty members, senior students and freshers.
An update from the college stated that Mhalo Humtsoe, additional deputy commissioner of Pfutsero, who attended the occasion as the guest speaker, has urged the students to approach college life with openness and curiosity rather than fear or the pressure to succeed immediately.
“The unknown is not a void. It is a blank canvas… Do not fear the blank spaces. Do not rush to fill them up with certainty. Sit within the unknown. Continue to ask questions and continue to be curious,” she said, encouraging students to make their college experience meaningful and self-defined.

Acknowledging the inevitable challenges along the way, she reminded the students that growth is a gradual process.
“Your journey here is not going to be perfect. There will be detours, but a detour doesn’t mean it is the end. They are just going to be a part of your story,” she added.
Duti Sarah chaired the session and Wekou Kapfo spoke on behalf of the freshers.
In her address, the college’s principal, Dr. Anungla Pongener, assured the freshers of the college’s full support in helping them achieve their aspirations.
