Peren holds consultation workshop on Viksit Nagaland 2047

DIMAPUR — Peren organised stakeholders’ Consultative Workshop for the Viksit Nagaland @2047 Vision Document at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren, on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, Hiazu Meru, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, said that the workshop was held in line with the Government of India's VIKSIT Bharat 2047, an ambitious vision to transform the nation into a developed, prosperous and self-reliant country by 2047, which will also mark India’s 100 years of Independence.

Divided into five thematic groups, the participants discussed strategies prioritising the growth of marginalised populations in remote areas of the district, said an update from DIPR, adding that each group presented a summary of their inputs and recommended policy.

The district line department also presented a PowerPoint presentation on five SWG Pillars – Economic, Social, Environment, Infrastructure and Governance – at the event.
